Starting Off

In the beginning of my journey of being a writer of a newsletter I have learned so much, and can’t wait to get started. If I’m being honest, we’re going to learn together. In this newsletter, I will be writing about creativity, animal (pets), writing, poems, and maybe a little history. I know it’s a little random, but when you get to know me you’ll know that my mind is all over the place, and it’s hard to get it on track.

Creativity

Creativity is important, it is the core of basically every invention every made. Without creativity there would be no breakthroughs, intentions, art, or anything in this world that makes us human. Boredom fuels the need to make something new and exciting.

After watching Inside Out 2 I realised that without the desire to discover a different way of doing something or a new perspective that can change the way someone does things, life would be a terrible cookie-cutter place. Creativity is a place where your imagination can grow and flourish in your mind or in this wonderful earth that we have tried to make better. It’s not about having a better idea then someone else, it’s about learning, trying, and finding out along the way, or learning a new skill or mastering an old one. Life is never dull, and if you’re staring out a window or aimlessly walking around the house, think about something that inspires you and try to do it.

Animals

I don’t know about you, but I have a cat and I adore him. His name is Jerry, after Jerry Seinfeld. He’s a slim, fast little guy about 10 lbs, I know that’s pretty small. He’s mostly dark grey with white boots and a white scarf running down his belly and the most adorable grey goatee ever. I love him so much sometimes after I smother him with kisses, my jaw hurts because I smiled too much. If you have a pet or a farm animal or you work with animals, then you must love animals like I do. I love every kind of animal, if it’s living I love it. That’s why it hurt so much when my beloved cat caught his first mouse. For the record, let it be stated that he did not just find it, attack it and then kill it, no. He found it, played with it, just like his toy mice inside the house. Thankfully Jerry has killed them relatively fast, until yesterday where he was in the middle of the act and I could hear the mouse squeak for its life, but my mother restrained me and I had to let nature take its course. I still and will always have a love for animals, but over the years I realised that you can’t save every creature, sometimes you need to keep your hands out of it and let it play out, and just because it might end badly doesn’t mean that it was our fault because we didn’t step in.

Writing

Writing can mean a lot of different things to different people. Some people might not like it and others might love it. I love words; I may not be the best writer or reader in the world, which I am not, but I still love words. I love how if written right, they can make a beautiful sentence or paragraph. There are two things I know about writing:

1. writing such as poems are creative so they don’t need to be perfect.

2. if you practice at something, you can get better. So well, here I am, and I think those two things are important, especially for writing.

I have written a few stories and poems and apparently they’re not too bad, so I know you can do it too; if you work at it.

Thanks for reading and please spread the word,

Le Stylo
